My 945T has the manual A/C unit. When I depress the button to turn on a/c, it will be many hot minutes and miles before the compressor kicks in. Once on, it cools pretty well.
During testing in my garage yesterday, with the motor running and the A/C button depressed, I had volts at the low-pressure switch connector, also at the high-pressure switch connector, and at the compressor, but I had no compressor operation.
A visit to the 940 FAQ leads me to believe this is not uncommon. A bad design of the circuit board inside the control unit is the cause, with a re-soldering of certain terminals usually a fix.
My question is: have I done enough testing to rule out other causes, leaving the solder issue the most probable cause?
thx
