Should one use the spacer plate when installing this in a standard aluminum distributor?
Looked as though the magnetic ring and the sensor unit needed that spacer to match, but I can't get the car to start. Figured that might be the problem.
Otherwise, black wire to the negative on the coil (where the tach attaches) and red to the positive (ignition switch wire), right?
Could the timing have gotten far enough off to cause a no-start? I guess there's no way to static time it with the gizmo installed.
