After fighting a no start situation on my '92 940, I finally got on Brickboard and was told to check the RPM sensor. Turns out it was bad. I ordered a new piece from FCP Groton and the car has been starting quickly ever since.
But, the car is now doing exactly what happened before I replaced the sensor; it is very hard to start sometimes. The battery is good, and it cranks fast.
But, when it decides to be tempermental about starting, I notice the tach needle is not moving.
Is it possible that same sensor is bad again? I'd hate for my wife to get stranded somewhere since I just sold my truck today.
Thanks.
