Another poor fitting FCP Groton Part

I guess people refer others to FCP Groton all the time due to low prices, but I keep finding that their aftermarket parts are not quite right. Yesterday I installed an accumulator/drier from them. Unfortunately the diameter is just a little smaller than the original Volvo part, which means that it is loose in the bracket instead of being a proper fit. There was no branding on the part or on the white box and it lacked the goverment required country of origin label. I also noticed that the original Volvo unit was much heavier than the replacement and had an obviously large amount of desicant inside. I wonder if the FCP Groton part has any desicant (drier) in it at all?

For aftermarket parts I am finding that rockauto.com, alleurasianautoparts.com and others have a much more complete description of the parts being ordered and they ship branded, labeled product which generally fits correctly and is much closer to the original Volvo item. Crappy headlamps, noisy fuel pumps, and such issues have me swearing off this supplier.

YMMV, but this is my personal opinion.

John
