Hi Art/Bruce
On my way home today the car stalled quite a few times when stopping for red lights or slowing down in traffic. I came home and decided to swap AMMs. But before I decided to disconnect the AMM (016) with the car running to observe the reaction (as per FAQs).I got the result -Car started running better, but the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.I swapped the AMMs and the car is now revving at around 1000 in Drive and 1100 or so in Park. Obviously doesnt stall anymore but I think the Rev are a little too high...But my concern is the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON!!!
I decided to get the correct AMM for about $65 as you suggested even with the car running better with the 007.But in the meantime what should I do about the CHECK ENGINE light? Can I drive it? Or should I take to the mechanic?
Tks very much. I would appreciate your comments/suggestions.
