Greetings all from Snowy Denver CO...(18" @ my house and more where my car is)
So here's the problem.
I was driving to work yesterday (BUY Snow Tires :) ),
when the car began to loose power, mis-fire and black smoke under WOT.
Over the course of the next 3-5 mins it got worse while I got it safely out of traffic.
When I stopped it wouldn't rev past 2500 and then died and would not restart.
I hopped out in the snow and 20 mph wind amd popped the hood for some lookin.
First of all there was snow under the hood so I dried off the distro and coil...no joy.
I tore up a plug wire and fixed it.
I checked for fuel in the vac line for the FPR, it seemed OK.
The Tach needle bounces on crank and indicates when I restarted is.
I pulled the AMM cable...no help.
Volts are good.
I gave up and called a ride.
It restarted and sputtered for a couple of minuits before it died again.
I'm thinking...
Coil/Wires.
Bad Temp Sensor?
Any help out there?
Gonna go shovel now...
Thanks
