Hello to all and Happy New Year! Today I will begin a new project-replacing the water pump. Been looking at the manuals and trying to plan an approach, so I guess I`m about ready.
My main concern is getting the seals back correctly. Has anyone experience with the best sequence of events, and do you recommend sealant (favorite type) or no? Each time I do something to this car I try to make it a little better if I can.
The 122 is a very honest car. I made the 21 mile trip hmoe the other night even though I was losing coolant and the water pump shaft had quite a bit of slack in it. No overheating and the car never missed a beat!
