Water pump 120-130

CB;

Assembly is as they say " the reverse of dissassembly" (but that doesn't help much)...what to watch out for when replacing WP is mushing the top seals to the side by horizontally mounting the pump...this just about guarantees a leak and having to redo...

...there are typically two rubber donut seals (of differing heights to accomodated headgaskets of differing heights) delivered with the pump...it's also important to use the correct pair...do not allow them to squish to the side and loose the seal when installing the pump...my technique to assure success is to apply gasket sealer (Permatex 4H) to the seals and slide the pump UP VERTICALLY while having two bolts in the pump-housing ready to thread into the block once the seals are loaded...(this assures the seals don't get displaced by horizontal sliding).

The rest is prettymuch straightforward...

Cheers
