Thanks Ron. I guess the heater return pipe and the lower radiator hose pipe needs to be loosened so that the pump can be raised straight up? It seems to me that it might be easier to fit those two pipes to the pump rather than the pump to the pipes while trying to keep the pump vertical.

To my knowledge the head has never been off, so the top pump donuts should be the stock ones.
