where is the temp sensor on the engine that sends the signal to the instruments?? 700

simple question, but I'm not sure what i'm looking at.
my 91 745T has a jumping temp gage. it didn't work at all until I changed the motor mounts, so I'm thinking it may be the connection on the engine. I see a temp sensor between cyl 2/3 with two wires going to it. I thought temp sensors only had one wire.

am I looking at the right thing?
