Engine lifting & Removal/Replacement Tips 120-130

Hello All,

I will be swapping motors this week and wanted to get some pointers on attachment points for the lifting chains. Strap better than lifting through cylinder head bolts?

I was planning on using old head bolts with washers. Only thought was maybe this might affect the head seal. Seemed unlikely but I know many have swapped motors and this is my first lift.

As always with first time efforts I'm trying to avoid the, "guess I shouldn't have done that." Not that thats ever happened.

I'm using a shop crane and load leveler so don't expect any problems but wanted to check the 'board in case I'm underestimating the job.

Thanks Brickboard,

-Mario E.
