alternator pulley alignment problem 200 1981

The v-belt partially flipped sideways, and I noticed that the pulleys on the alternator are not properly aligned with the crankshaft pulleys. My questions are:

1. Which direction should the alternator bushings sit?
2. Should there be spacers to ensure that the pulleys align?
3. To replace the v-belts, what is the most time-efficient method?

This is a time-sensitive repair, as my wife needs to use the 240 when our other car goes in the shop tomorrow night.

Thanks,
Jeff
