So I went to start my Volvo the other day and it would turn over but not start. I checked it for spark and fuel and it has both. I pulled the spark plugs and they were very wet like the engine was flooding. I could also smell a strong fuel smell under the hood. Tried replacing the fuel relay, checked all of the fuses which were good and checked the fuel pump. Then I noticed fuel dripping out of the air mass meter. So I replaced the air mass meter, and fuel bypass then it started.
It ran for 2 days and now it's doing it again. The only other thing I can think of is the check engine light is on and it's showing a 223 code which is the coolant temp sensor. I replaced that a few months ago but maybe it was a bad part. I'm ordering a new one from the dealer today I'll replace that when it gets here. Also has a new code 221 I don't know what that is I'll check my book tonight.
Any suggestions? I am totally stumped.
