Rust Never Sleeps 200 1987

I have an '87 240DL wagon. It has a heavy undercoat which helped to hide the rear driver side floor pan rust until the whole darn thing fell through. Until I can strip the entire underside, I obviously don't know what else I will run into to. Anybody had any experience with this?
I found the site which shows the guy patching his Volvo with POR 15, which sounds promising, but I feel I may need to accompany my repair with new Mig welded sheetmetal. I have searched the net for aftermarket floor pans for the 240 (no luck). I have also considered finding an unrusted donor car to cut the corresponding patch from. The rest of the body/paint is in good shape on this car, and I am hesitant to scrap the old girl. Please pass along any and all suggestions.
