240 Front Strut Questions 200

Hi,
I am getting ready to do my front struts tomorrow and still have a couple questions. First my car is a 1987 240 DL wagon. It has the original Volvo green hydraulic strut inserts. I am replacing with Bilstein HD inserts. What I want to know is, first, am I going to need spacers under the Bilsteins? Secondly, should I use the bump stop only off of my old strut bellows or are Bilsteins OK as they come and finally is it OK to remove/install the top nut with an air impact wrench or can that cause internal damage to the shock? Thanks for any help, Kevin Core
