88 240 Brake Bleed 200

Hi All,

A couple of general questions about bleeding brakes on an 88 240. I had to remove and replace my leaky brake junction box (octopus) because of misplaced o-rings, and now I wish to assure that I do not have air in the MC. A lot of fluid leaked (expectedly) when the J-box was removed.

What is bench bleeding, and is it necessary to assure the removal of air from the MC? Can standard bleeding with wife pushing and me bleeding at the wheels remove the air from the MC (in most cases)?

Thanks gents, . . . Dan in Louisville
