AAAGH---$300 lesson in chasing vacuum leaks. CHECK the INTAKE MANIFOLD! 700

Ok, so the 740T was idling rough...pull #1 injector, no change.

Disconnect the amm and it ran better; ran better when amm reconnected. RPM's up to 1200 (900 in Drive) with amm reconnected. Throws 2-3-2 and 1-2-1 codes due to amm disconnect/reconnect. Smooth idle.

So WTF, O?
No vacuum leaks in hoses that I could find. Replaced the AMM with a known good one, no change in behavior. Even bled propane all around the engine, including injector O-rings and intake manifold/head.

Well, slap me upside the head...indy mechanic found vacuum leak due to bad intake manifold gasket. They checked out a few other things after replacing the intake manifold gasket and now it's katie bar the door when I step on it!! 18psi boost and good advance (no ping/retard) and rising rate fuel pressure regulator make some horsepower.

Still...I should have caught the intake manifold leak. D'Oh!
