Just picked up a '93 wagon running o.k. 132K, plenty of roar/power goes through the gears well (auto) Here's my list of problems/questions:
-at a stop/idle in D when I go to accelerate oil light flicker on then off, does not stay on at all while driving. I did try letting it creep in D, light will flicker, as if car wants to kill, idle stumbles along with it.
-oil level is fine, it may have a hint of fuel smell in the oil, or my imagination?
-underside of cap oily & brown no sludge or froth/cream.
-car runs cool only a quarter way up on the gauge
-heater cranks hot/normal
Any ideas/ suggestions what may be going on appreciated.
