Here's what we've done thus far:
-Oil & filter change (10w30)
-Compression test 170 on all 4 (cold) (tired motor?)
-codes on #2 1-1-1
-cleaned throttle body/new air filter
-OS tests good
-new plugs & wire
-fuel pressure good
-blow by residue underside of valve cover/bearings on cam good
-swapped ECU's did not change performance
-new AMM
-timing in proper position
'93 240 wagon 132K : Performance still a little sluggish, low idle speed, after warmed up oil light flicker at idle take off w/hesitation, intermittent? Temp gauge only registers 1/4 way up , Oil pressure sensor appears new/wiring looks good. After a 45 min drive at 60-65mph, Oil light will be constant at idle. until cooling down to city driving then back to a flicker.
Now, I have a friend/mechanic who is willing to swap '90 B230 w/115K w/190 compression for $1,000
All new seals etc. Will swap into all new invested parts. Due to the lower comp. & possibility of failing oil pump, Do I go for the motor swap? Any other possibilities to look into?
Sorry for the long post, just fishing for further advice.
Thanks for all your input,
Bryan
