Hello! I have a 98 Volvo V90 with 260K miles that I just bought. The previous owner parked it and the gas was stolen. He tried to start it and was only able to do so after spraying starter fluid in the intake. It would only idle and handle a little throttle then suck air and cut off. I looked at the so called new in-tank fuel pump he had put in and found the black and red wires cross connected and the grey/white wires not even connected. I then pulled the pump out and checked it with 12volts and it ran fine. I reconnected the wires correctly and can here is prime when I turn the key on but now it will only start with starter fluid and wont idle at all. Please help!
