what's the best way to cure a squeaky fan/generator belt? it's not a big deal, more like an annoyance, but when my 122's at idle, the belt makes a constant squeak-squeak-squeak noise on the pulleys. if you remember the noise that the radioactive giant ants made in that sci-fi movie, 'Them,' that will give you a good idea of the noise. i've replaced the belt a couple of times, the noise goes away for a while, but eventually it comes back, squeak-squeak-squeak. pretty annoying. the car would idle nice and quiet otherwise. any suggestions? do i need new pulleys? a certain brand of belt? i've tried goodyear and continental with the same results.
