Instrument panel/electrical/engine failure 200 1989

The Dad Man's out of town again and my car's in need of some attention.

Driving the car last night, all electrical things failed. It started with the odometer/speedometer, the temp guage and the fuel indicator. Then the radio died. One by one, all things electrical went out except for a faint glow from the dome light. Then the car died, mid intersection.

240's are heavy beasts to push, if you didn't know.

I've recently replaced the little gear in the odometer, my front wiper motor, and the oil (probably regardless, but just in case). My dad and I deliberated on the phone last night and decided that it was probably just a plug behind the instrument panel that I hadn't connected properly.

I checked that, and it seems to be secure. I did a once over in the engine just looking for a loose ground wire or something, but I really don't know what I'd be looking for.

Probably something simple and easy, right? Here's hoping.

P.S. Yes, I checked the fuses. :) Haha
