Bilstein front inserts, no bump stop 700

I got some Bilstein heavy duty inserts and rears at the 'store'. The struts had been partly removed and then abandoned for a couple of days, which saved me some work. I don't know why some people do that, abandon some really good parts. Anyway, I didn't remove all the parts myself, but it seemed that everything was there at the time. Now when I'm having them installed, two things come up.

1. there aren't any bump stops on the top of the inserts, and the installer says all struts have those, and there were some on the old ones in my car, which were not Bilsteins and were the standard size piston. They are not interchangeable as the Bilstein piston shafts are so much larger, and it seems there's just not enough room for any anyway under the blue plastic boot. A diagram I saw from Bilstein doesn't seem to show any. Anyone who has installed these who knows?

2. The rubber spring seats at the top that came out of the boneyard car with the Bilsteins, are thinner and the bearing seat is deeper, so there's about 1/2" or so difference in height, or effective ride height. I decided to use those, and the front seems just a bit lower. I had the idea that they were this way to possibly compensate for the gas pressure lifting the front a bit.
