Twin SU carbs' pistons supposed to rise in sync? 120-130

Ok, I had trouble with this before. I have since the replaced the gaskets between the carbs and manifold, sandwiching the heat shield between 2 gaskets on each carb and torquing the nuts to spec. Did this yesterday.

Also yesterday, I synced the carbs with sync tool for idle airflow. Ok, looked good. I then applied some throttle pressure and noticed only one carb's piston (rear) would rise a lot more freely than the other (front) when I would rev it. I killed the car, checked the oil in the dashpots, they were full. Applied some pressure upwards with my finger to the pistons and it took a lot more force to lift the front than the rear, alot more dampening force on it.

Emplied the dashpots, screwed down the caps, and lifted and both lifted freely, no problem. Replaced the oil in the dashpots, screwed down the caps and same scenerio - the front won't lift as much but the rear will. Throttle application would move the rear but hardly the front at all.

Any ideas?

This is my original post that I was unable to add to: http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1330524/120-130/twin_su_carbs_b20b_dampers_supposed_move_sync.html
