Last year I built a 122S for Apple Farmer Racing to run in La Carrera Panamericana. We didn't have time to sort out the car properly before the 2008 running of the event, and they ran into some mechanical bugs, finishing third of nine cars in the Historico A+ class -- consider that a beta test.
This year it's going better (hope I'm not jinxing them by saying that -- still two more days to go). They qualified first in class and 11th overall of 102 cars, no mean feat for a four-cylinder Volvo.

There have been major problems with the timing and scoring system (new this year), so no one quite knows the standings -- hope there's enough of a paper trail to reconstruct what really went on, or the officials are going to have an awful lot of irate teams on their hands...
