I've always assumes the PV's aerodynamics were not so great, but perhaps that's not so. There's a 544 running in Turismo Mayor -- the top class with the V-8 Studebakers and Oldsmobiles (I think they can go 366 cubic inches, and the Studes will top 180 MPH on long straights), and it got to second in class before doing a cross-country into a gully yesterday. Not much damage, and it's back in the running.

I think it's running a B230 stroker with 55mm Webers, and there's not much left of the original 544 except the sheet metal, but still...
