fuse 1 blows intermittently 700 1990

My 1990 745 with 200K miles was running just great until it started blowing fuse number 1, the 25 amp fuse intermittently. At first it seemed to be correlated with turning the steering wheel, but then my mechanic said it was happening when the car moved. Now, we're not sure. He moved some of the wiring harness near the fuel pump, and could not get the problem to re-occur. But then it happened to me again when making a slow right hand turn. I can then put it a new fuse and continue on my way. I have also jumpered the fuse temporarily and not had any smoke or fires. Any suggestions on where to look?
