no spark 700

i have a 740 turbo with 280kmiles on it. It drove fine on Wednesday, and parked it for a day in our garage. The next morning, the car cranked but no sign of firing up. I checked the fuel pump relay (it clicks), but i can't hear the fuel pump (actually i don't think i've ever heard it come on. I always noticed the fuel pump whining on my wife's car, but never on mine. At the same time i don't have any spark.
Is there any connection that the fuel pump would not work AND no spark? Any ideas are hepfull since i have to get the car going for Monday.
