a follow up to don's earlier post about tires -

from time to time i read about the legendary tall skinny tires that were originally fitted on the 122, and the difficulty of finding them. what exactly is the appeal - other than the look, which is very cool. do they make the car handle differently/better, or is there less rolling resistance or some such? and next time i go shopping for tires, what size tires were 122s originally fitted with?
