My wife has a 2010 Maxima that has 16" tires on some sort of alloy rim. The low profile looks good and the car is great on windy New England roads and with a 290hp 6 has no problem keeping up with traffic. HOWEVER here, in Connecticut where they abound, every time we hit a pot hole it is a jarring experience and there aren't many pot holes she doesn't like. I'd trade a little less of that for slightly worse handling anytime.
