OK, got a front bearing/hub that has been squealing off and on with my 945. Fortunately, figured it out before it seized, wheel rotates easily by hand.
Bought the new hub, cap and nut. Reading on how to do the job, the FAQ and manual say to slide hub on to axle making sure outer bearing inner ring stays in position. No problem, but then you are told that you must have 23 MM minimum from hub face to inner ring. I assume that having greater than the 23 is OK, correct? What is critical about this dimension or why is 22 and 3/4 MM no good? Just want to understand it better so I don't waste my 100+ bucks by doing the job again in a month. Thanks. Mike
