M41 slips out of OD 140-160

My 73 142 with M41 OD tranny slips out of overdrive when it gets warm, going to try cleaning filters tonite, is it possible my solenoid is going bad and loosing continuity when it gets hot and slips in and out of OD, there is power to solenoid and tranny is full of 30wt
