164 Wrong Battery Jump 140-160

1970 164. Jumped the battery and yes, like an idiot not paying attention, reversed the terminals! Sparks ensued, now the AMP light stays ON with the key out. The car runs fine and the multi meter says the alternator is charging may be a little higher than it should be, like 14.5-15Volts...
What did I damage and how do I cure the battery light staying on after the ignition key is out?
