164 Wrong Battery Jump 140-160

You have a blown diode in the alternator. The shorted diode causes the dash light to glow when the key is off. My son did the same thing in his 242. His didn't charge anymore. Must have blown more than a diode. I put the old 55 amp alternator in and it has worked fine ever since.
