New windshield installed, but it leaks! 120-130 1966

Greetings all!

Last weekend, I replaced the windshield on my '66 130, along with the seal. (Someone in the neighborhood had decided to put a brick through the previous windshield. That was lovely of them.)

So I replaced the window, used a new seal and got everything installed and looking nice. After installing the window, I filled the underside of the gasket with 3M Bedding and Glazing compound to help it seal, and then I installed the "chrome" trim. Everything looked great!

We've had rain the past couple of days in Portland, and the window has leaked a lot in the lower passenger side corner; more so than it did before I replaced the window.

I had the windshield replaced a few years back and had the flange treated with POR-15. All of that looked okay. There was a bunch of old dried up silicone sealant (that I removed) in the corner where water is coming in now. I don't know if this sealant put in by the previous window installer or if it had already been there, but it's my understanding that there shouldn't be any silicone sealant in there.

Any advice? I'm not sure what else to do. I really don't want to have to pop the window out again.

Thanks all!
