Distributer 700 1987

I am having some intermittent stalling problems with my 1987 760 Turbo wagon. I am thinking about replacing the distributor. It is the original and I notice that the tach isn't moving when I go to re start. After several tries the tach does jump and the car starts and runs fine. I am thinking the pick up sensor inside might be failing ? Wiring looks ok. Anyway, has anyone ever used rebuilt distributors like Cardone ? Or new units like Richporter ? They are much cheaper than a Bosch.

Thanks for the help.
Mark
