As the gerneral said, I've been around these parts for an awful long time. Can't even remember how long, anyone who cares can feel free to search the archives.

My start page in my browser is the BrickBoard RWD forum. On an almost daily basis, I check for new messages two, three, or more times.

Over the years, I've learned a lot from this forum - in response, I've tried my damndest to give back what I can. Sometimes it's stuff I've learned fixing my car, and other times I pull antique BB posts from the remotest corners of my brain to help someone who hasn't been around so long.

If people want advice about fixing their cars, I have tried my hardest to give them the best advice and information I have available. This forum (and the world) is a two-way street - you give and you take.

When people ask for more general advice about owning and driving a Volvo, I likewise give them the best advice I have to offer - never anything less.

Someone came to this board asking for advice. I geave them the best response I knew how based upon the information in the current and prior posts by that individual. Again, that is what I *always* try to do.

The user in question did not like my advice. Fine - advice is free, feel free to do with it what you will. But I refuse to tolerate being berated for doing the best job of which I am capable.

So I'm gone. Maybe for a vacation, maybe for good. There are a lot of folks I'll miss - I guarantee that. But in this case, to preserve my own sanity, I must "throw the baby out with the bathwater".
