To cut to the chase, is there any general preference among the various Volvo parts sellers, as to which of them give both a good price and quality? I assume that none of these places sell Taiwan/China imported parts of the inferior quality that is currently flooding the US.

Volvo OEM quality is there but always pricey. For instance I need some motor mounts. Volvo will give me 20% off the $30.00 retail price for OEM mounts, for $24.00. Volvo parts guys do not know who or where they are made (That is always the catch - my guess is Sweden or Germany), and I know Volvo is still making money.

IPD sells them for about $14.00 each; made in Sweden by Scantek, in a blue box - wonder if these are OEM or were OEM at one time? If Volvo sold theirs for $14.00, I wonder if they would make any money, and if yes, I have to wonder just how much Volvo is marking up their products?

FPCGROTON had them on Ebay for $9.99, but a click to their web site had them for about $5-$6, plus $5. S&H. C'mon, the FPC have got to be junk at that price.

I also found them at Foreign Auto, in Michigan, a retailer, for $9.99 each. Claims they are made in Sweden, but are not packaged in a box, but loose in a bag. I generally distrust generic unpacked or unmarked parts - could be from anywhere or of any quality - too risky!

RPRUSA has them for $20.00, Scantek brand in blue box.
