No start. Fuel system. Input please. 700 87

Hey bricksters,

Well, my pretty blue 740 went awol the other day. My wife was driving. Luckily, she was going downhill. Coasted right into a parking lot! Shes got a guardian angel, I swear.

Heres what I know:

1. Ignition is working(firing steady and on time)

2. The fuel pump runs. However When I took the fuel line apart at the manifold, there is fuel but without much force. I attached my fuel guage, it hardly registered a reading. I Squeezed off the return line, it still didnt register anything.

So, at this point Im thinking its got to be the pump, the filter(intank or main), or some other fuel line blockage.

The pump is not a volvo pump, and its been groaning under there for awhile.

I think Ill start by putting the original pump back on(nothing wrong with it), change the filter, and then see what happens.

Please feel free to jump in with any suggestions or advice.
