brickers:
Every time I pull out my radio I am confronted by two sets of wires whose functions I cannot identify. The radio/tape deck is OEM and came with my 1985 745t wagon. It's the radio with two dials (god I love the dials instead of the cursed buttons), bass, treble, and fade switches below the volume control on the left, 6 presets in 2 fm 2 am saved groups, etc.
So, the wire groups I refer to are ass follow:
1) one orange wire and one black wire come out and terminate into one of those U type plastic connectors. The connector has a female coupling, indicating that whatever it hooks into is male.
2) The second wire is just a yellow wire that comes out and is folded up over itself and taped with electrical tape. No apparent function for this.
Any help on this would be great. Maybe the orange/black is for a graphic equalizer option not included with my car?
Thanks,
Rick
