Possible 780 purchase Help (Kinda long) 700

Hello Bricksters!

I saw a 1990 780 with the turbo 4 and 133,000 miles for sale at a local Volvo dealership only $2500. I went to look at it today. Its a nice car(currently drive a 88 765ti). Here is the problem, the seat on the passanger side is really srewed. It is to the farthest point it can travel forward, its looks like someone tried to fix the panel you move the seat with it is basically taken apart. Nothing a weekend couldnt fix. Just want to make sure that the 780 uses the same controls and seat motors a 760 or 740 would? It looks the same! Help!!
Also it would not start, but I am pretty sure that is because the alarm was stuck going off and the battery died. When the car guy when to jump it, it started right up with the alarm sounding, well of course the battery in the remote was dead so it kept soundind. To cut the story short, it started the alarm turned off and I took it for a test drive, ran great!! We parked the car running and then turned it off. Of course the alarm reacted because I closed the door. The alarm went off and then the alarm died! I tried to start the car after the alarm died and of course it wouldnt. Could anything but a bad battery be wrong with this? I really love my 88 765ti and would LOVE to purchase this 780!! Any words of wisdome would be great! Another thing I know how hard it is to come by 780 body parts, it has everything

Thanks
Paul
