Best method to cover 960 chrome trim 900 1996

I have a 1996 960 with chrome trim, doors and windows. I would like to cover the chrome with a dark(black)color and would like suggestions with regard to which material may work best i.e. paint, tape, etc, or may there be a aftermarket kit available?
