Less than a year ago I replaced the pre pump along with a new sock. Have been having trouble with engine cutting out during acceleration and noticed the main pump would occasionally be noisy along with the fuse getting hot. Today I pulled the tank pump out and the filter sock was pretty dirty. Couple questions 1) how often does this sock need to be replaced 2) If my tank has a bunch of dirt inside is there a way to get that dirt out without removing the tank 3) do you all think this will solve my engine cutting out problem- say yes please.:)
