On Guard security system question 700

My 92 740 (imposter 940) wagon came with all the service records and dealer-supplied information.

There are On Guard (not On Call) stickers on the windows, but I don't know if there is actually any security system in the car. The thing is loaded, so I wouldn't doubt it.

What exactly does this system have, that I should be looking for? If it is supposed to have a keychain controller, I definitely don't have one of them. Where would I start looking for a control unit or something that would signal that the system exists?

There IS a power lock in the driver's side door but I'm not certain if all the later 700/900 cars have that. I haven't had the chance to compare 92 to 93 to find out.

If necessary I can contact the previous owners, but I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it.
