A quick search of the archives and the 700/900 FAQ showed that most 700/900 twins (91 and 92 at least) don't have driver's side lock actuators.

I HAVE a driver's side lock actuator but no keyless entry controller. Which doesn't mean that there doesn't exist a controller; I don't have it though.

Being that there is a lock actuator in the driver's door, I'm guessing that 1) there is a security or keyless entry system, or 2) a keyless entry system of some sort. I haven't found any aftermarket-looking wiring hanging out in the engine or under the dashboard, but the P.O. doesn't seem to have had anything done outside of a Volvo dealer or good Volvo independent, with parts and procedures likely to be used in each respective place (should it be an aftermarket addition).

So now my question is, what would be a likely place to look for the control unit for this system, and what would I be looking for? I have no experience with RWD keyless entry other than using it, in other cars. Also no manuals (wait a minute... maybe I DO...) that will help out.
