I have a 1984 240 GL turbo with an intercooler. The engine is a B21FT. While poking around under the hood I found 2 hoses that are apparently disconnected and I have no idea what they plug in to.
1. Right behind the distributor there is something that I think might be called the control pressure regulator (not sure.) There are 2 metal lines leading from this over to what I believe is called the air-fuel control unit on the top of the air filter housing, an electrical connector, and a rubber hose that comes up out of it and is just hanging there. Is it supposed to be that way, or is it supposed to connect to something on the other end?
2. Underneath the battery, right in front of the front driver's side tire, there is what looks to be some sort of canister. You can only see it by looking up underneath the car. What is this? One of the 2 small diameter lines leading from this is not connected on the other end. What do these lines connect to?
3. What is the large hose that has foam padding around it that goes over the engine? It plugs into a much larger hose between the turbo and the air filter housing on one end and goes over the top of the engine to something under the intake manifold. What is this hose called and what is at this other end? It's connected at both ends, just curious about it.
Any help will definitely be appreciated.
