Help!!! Ignoramous needs some info!!!!! 700 1988

I have a 88 740 Turbo 5-speed manual (whatever the M-it is) with the electronic button for fifth. My question is, does my tranny have a solenoid for fifth like the OD tanny's have. Cuz mine used to work and now it only works until it gets warmed up and then slips out and I've been reading the FAQ's but haven't been able to find out anything that says specifically. And one of the faq's was a problem just like mine but with the manual with OD tranny, so I wanted to know before I spend money on a part that won't work. Thanks for your intelligence. Oh, or any other ideas would be much appreciated too.
