I have the stock 80 amp alternator in my 91 744 right now. I am hoping someone knows how many amps the car draws while running (w/ and w/o headlights on) without any extras on it and I was also wondering what kind of alternator I should put in there that is at least 100 amps (1 wire vs. 3 wire, etc.). I need to know because my stereo system (300 watt alpine digital amp) is draining the battery and I need about 25 amps extra to run the thing. I also was wondering the cheapest place to get the alternator, because I am on a tight budget. Thanks.
