TPS PROBLEM ?? Hesitation/Stalling 200

Hello,
My 85 240 has a problem which i have been trying to troubleshoot.

When cold, the car's idle wants to DIE/Stall/bucking.
And when you go to press the throttle it hesitates and stalls unless you push it way down and it kind of backfires/pops then races.

When warm, the problem is alot less severe, it will idle, but not well and general performance is lacking greatly *hesitation* ect.

Even when warm, if you advance the throttle slightly the car stumbles slightly and then takes off.

Having read previous posts on this board I checked to see if I hear the "clicks" from the TPS.
I here no clicks near throttle, at wot or at all.

I decided to UNPLUG the TPS completelely. The car runs no different with or without the TPS hot or cold.

This leads me to believe the TPS is completely shot.

Would this infact be the case ?
