What does it take to make a 86 and newer AW-70 work in a 85 DL?.....No speedo cable. 200 1985

I have found an 86 240DL wagon in a Pick and Pull that has low miles and I want to get the trans but I know that there is no speedometer cable connection on that year. I want to put this trans in my 85 DL wagon.

Is there a way to transfer the tailshaft housing or will the plug pop out so I can install my speedo cable?

I pulled the differential yesterday.

Any information is helpful.
